Oil Onshore Pipeline Quantitative Risk Assessment under Fire and Explosion Scenarios

Pipeline is one of the safest and most cost-effective means transportation for hydrocarbons. However, hydrocarbon releases subsequent fires explosions, are presented as persistent events. Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) enables to address risk prevent these In this regard, different approaches have been proposed pipelines, but few studies focused on oil transportation. This paper presents a methodology performing QRA onshore which based calculation individual societal indicators. illustrated using an authentic case study segment 17.53 km length pipeline located in southwest Colombia, considering jet pool fire scenarios. The results show that Individual Per Annum (IRPA) operation (and maintenance) administrative workers 6.14 × 10?4 8.52 10?5 yr?1, respectively.
